About IBPC

The Ipswich Badminton Performance Centre enables junior badminton players to maximise their potential through fun and friendly coaching.

The performance centre provides high quality coaching for junior players wishing to succeed in the sport. The coaching not only includes hitting techniques, movement and tactics but also aspects such as fitness, nutrition, hydration and lifestyle.

Players do not need to have previous experience of playing badminton but need to be keen and enthusiastic. Players often progress to play in local leagues, local tournaments, county squads and in Badminton England junior tournaments.

The performance centre is one of a number of performance centres around the country that have been set up by Badminton England with the aim of providing pathways for talented young players. Players come from Suffolk, Essex, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire.

Fees

The fees are payable by monthly standing order depending on how many sessions attended per week.

  • 1 session per week - £48 per month (works out to about £6 per hour)
  • 2 sessions per week - £80 per month (~£5 per hour)
  • 3 sessions per week - £96 per month (~£4 per hour)
